Ambré Shares New Mixtape

Ambré, the Grammy-winning R&B artist, has just dropped her newest mixtape, i do this sh*t in my sleep*, offering a six-track dive into themes of openness and sincerity. The project, which features collaborations with Grammy-nominee Alex Isley and fellow New Orleans native Treety, explores the dynamics of flirtation and sensuality. Tracks such as “SWV,” “Sideways,” and “Perfect Timing” weave together soulful rhythms and intimate narratives, creating a fluid experience that hints at something much larger. Though the mixtape presents a cohesive storyline, Ambré emphasizes that these tracks are merely a preview, promising that the best is yet to come with her future work.

This release comes on the heels of her emotional cover of Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without U” and follows her recent project, who’s loving you?. That project, which includes Jay Versace’s production on “BAD HABITS” and a feature from Mack Keane on “ELEVATE,” serves as a continuation of her 2022 release, 3000°. The earlier project paid tribute to New Orleans icons Juvenile and Lil Wayne, with 3000° propelling Ambré to her first Billboard No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart with the hit “I’m Baby,” featuring Jvck James. With i do this sh*t in my sleep*, Ambré continues to carve out her unique space in the R&B world, teasing an even more ambitious project on the horizon.
